Position Description
Performs tasks associated with the receipt, storage and shipment of product while meeting productivity, quality, safety, behavioral and attendance expectations. Effectively and efficiently uses established procedures, tools, equipment, and technologies to complete transactions related to inbound processes within a distribution center.
Team Members may use industrial powered equipment and carts to perform job functions.
Complies with Grainger policies, guidelines and procedures as well as state and federal regulations, OSHA and Hazardous Material requirements in the storage, handling and movement of product.
Position Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Must have a minimum of 6-12 months warehouse related experience.
Able to safely meet performance expectations for quality, teamwork, productivity and housekeeping.
Able to operate wrist-worn or hand held computerized scanning equipment.
Continuous standing and walking.
Continuous lifting between 10 and 15 lbs, frequent lifting up to 75 lbs, occasional lifting up to 125 lbs, and assisted lifting in excess of 125 lbs.
Grasping, pushing, pulling and lifting of pallets and product from floor to waist and shoulder heights.
Use of industrial equipment including Power Industrial Equipment, carts and other equipment as needed.
Working in a position requiring work at elevated heights.
Able to tolerate an environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and work around moving equipment.
Able to work as part of a team and cross train into other jobs with similar functional requirements.
Must be able to work until all work is completed; extending work time past normal shift end times.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
