years in automotive manufacturing experience or automated assembly processes. Proficiency with MS Office Suite What Your Role Will Look The Controls Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing and/or maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control assembly processes, engineering systems, and machinery, working closely with the Design, Operations, Maintenance and Purchasing departments. This role may require you to be flexible with shift structure and hours.Maintaining and/or modifying systems containing the following devices and associated PLC's - ladder logic language, Siemens Graph language, statement language, flow diagram language SQL Servers - MSSQL, T-SQL, MySQL, Transaction Services (OPC) Communication networks - Ethernet, ProfiNet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Serial (RS232). Vision systems - Cognex, Banner, Keyence SCADA systems - WinCC, Ignition, Promon Robots - Kuka, Denso, Staubli, Epson, Fanuc Servos and VFDs - Kistler, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Control Techniques, IAI Evaluating existing process equipment programming, controls, and electronics. Implementing changes and upgrades related to continued process improvement efforts, all in accordance with company change management policies and procedures. Assist as needed in Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and modifying existing electrical and electronic systems, including controls systems for all new and existing Pierburg process equipment per NEC and NFPA regulations. Provide technical support to the plant on engineering matters to reduce downtime. Technician/s as well as Engineering Department personnel as needed. Perform reviews of the preventative maintenance program and improve areas where required. Developing requests for quotations as needed to meet the scope of improvements, upgrades, and customer needed changes primarily related to, but not limited to, the Controls and Electrical/Electronic related projects. Develop and maintain Technical Information for the maintenance department.
