Job
Summary:
Support operational productivity and company profitability by reporting, refurbishing, and calibrating metrology equipment.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Repair/Refurbish Equipment - Assess and troubleshoot a wide range of dimensional and electronic testing and measurement equipment to determine repairs needed.
Refurbish gages to working order.
Perform calibration of refurbished equipment in line with company quality procedures and customer expectations.
Calculate statistical information regarding uncertainties in calibration using an established formula.
Update gage tracking software and generate certifications with gage calibration results.
Provide Customer Service - Interact with internal and external customers to answer questions and provide calibration related information.
Continuously Improve - Stay abreast of industry advances to learn and develop new diagnostic, repair, and calibration techniques.
Adapt existing repair equipment and techniques to accomplish unique refurbishment tasks.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently Desire to learn and grow Mechanical aptitude and skills Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written) Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Intermediate computer skills (data entry, software navigation and utilization post-training, basic Microsoft Office proficiency) Ability to understand, remember, and apply/follow written and verbal instructions Ability to understand, remember, and communicate routine, factual, technical information Ability to complete routine, existing forms Strong organizational skills to optimize workflow Ability to maintain pace necessary to fulfill order in required timeframe Ability to perform basic and more complex math equations Education and
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous repair of mechanical and electronic tools as well as a knowledge of manufacturing quality procedures and machining preferred Machine shop or mechatronics background preferred Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds Frequent bending, kneeling, walking may be required Prolonged sitting may be required Ability to grasp objects for the majority of day Benefits include but are not limited to:
