Assist with organizing, implementing, and evaluating the Clinical Education programs according to all company standards, professional standards, all laws and other regulations, and identified agency needs.
Continually update orientation and education to maintain consistency between policy and practice and to reflect changes in regulations or standards.
Maintain an up-to-date, comprehensive, orientation program for all clinical staff to include RN, LPN, Physical and Occupational Therapists, and assistants.
Direct, coordinate, and conduct clinical orientation for new clinical staff.
Utilize teaching strategies to meet learner's needs.
Collaborate with clinical management to coordinate and monitor agency compliance with required clinical staff education, i.
e.
12 hours annually for HHA, continuing education/ in-services for licensed personnel, or as required by licensure.
Assist annual Clinical Skills Competencies Assist with providing training to clinical staff based from annual agency needs assessment.
Provide educational opportunities and inservices to Interim HealthCare & Interim HealthCare Hospice to meet current and future needs, agency policy and all regulatory standards Using current resources and principles of adult education, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate clinical inservices/ professional training.
Train/instruct clinical staff in the most current information technology related to point of care devices and required levels of competency.
Provide electronic medical record/ information system training to clinical staff.
Provide mechanism for documentation of competency related to education/training provided.
Participate in evaluating clinical staff competency/technical skills.
Working with a management team, periodically review competency assessment system for all levels of clinical staff.
Assure new clinical staff competency and assist with additional training as indicated.
Assist with clinical skills development programs consistent with evidenced based clinical practice guidelines, monitors trends and implements educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters.
Coordinate training related to changes in clinical practice standards or opportunities for improving skills for new clinical staffs.
Consult with clinical staff on cases involving new or high-tech care, and visits patients with clinical staff to provide on-site education as needed.

A few must-haves for Clinical Education Specialist - PT:
Current South Carolina Physical Therapy (PT) license.
Three years of current experience in healthcare setting.
One year of home health/ hospice experience within the last 3 years, management experience preferred.
One year of HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) preferred.
